Bloody Bourbon Cider

Bloody Bourbon Cider

This spiked hot cider is sure to hit the spot on these chilly fall nights! I highly recommend making a big batch of cinnamon apple bourbon, it adds so much more flavor to any fall drink, but of course regular ole bourbon will do just fine. A substitute for apple spice syrup is maple syrup or a sugar cube, but again I highly recommend making a big batch and always having it in your fridge this season. Can be served cold and is still just as tasty, just use regular apple cider not hot. Perfect in a punch bowl at your next party! The juice is also optional, I added mostly for color but the pomegranate cherry added a brightness to the warm and coziness of this hot beverage that balanced out so well!

Here's what you'll need:

  • 6-8 oz cup hot apple cider (***need to make a category in amazon storefront of drink ingredients. Then link the apple cider packets I used here)
  • Big splash of pomegranate cherry juice
  • Apple spice syrup to taste (link to apple spice syrup recipe)
  • 2 oz cinnamon apple infused bourbon (<— link to recipe)
  • Garnish: cinnamon stick, bourbon infused apple slices, brown sugar + cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Dip mug in apple spice syrup then cinnamon brown sugar mixture
  2. Pour into mug the hot cider and syrup
  3. Stir to combine syrup into cider
  4. Add in juice and bourbon
  5. Garnish wish a cinnamon stick and apples from the infused bourbon
  6. Cheers and enjoy
